Description
I aimed to make an electronic ambient "soundtrack" with some experimental elements as I really like sound design and I feel ambient lends it self well to it. All tracks were made in Logic Pro X.
Description of the imaginary game and the tracks:
You play as a man on a solo mission on a planet in search for alien life who loses contact with Earth. You go through area to area trying to repair your beacon in order to allow for you to regain contact and be transported back to Earth and also continue your mission of looking for signs of life.
Track 1 - Lake and Mountains: You land in a lake and swim to shore. You notice a Mountain nearby and think that it could be a good vantage point to get a good feel for your surroundings.
Track 2 - Moonlit Forest: You find a forest and chose to explore it. You discover what looks like a deer... but that can't be right, how could something that looks so familiar be all the way out here?
Track 3 - Fading Valley: You explore are valley near the mountains you saw when you first arrived. The trees and rocks see to fade in and out of existence and you catch your self pausing to take in the broken beauty of it all.
Track 4 - Creature of the Ruins: You find what seem to be ruins of some sort left by an ancient civilization. But after a while you feel as though you are not alone, and when you see it you can't help but think "What the hell is that 'thing'?".
Track 5 - Desert Sands: You find yourself in a desert, but nothing like the ones on Earth. The air feels simultaneously hot and cold, each step forward seems like a step backward, and the sands sound like they are trying to communicate with you.
Track 6 - Setting up the Beacon: You finally managed to find spare parts in order to repair the beacon. Problem is now that you have outstayed your welcome, the planet doesn't want to let you leave alive.

Wonderfully disturbing! Fantastic job!
Thank you!
Thats really impressive. Love the soundscapes. Truly inspiring
The story with music gave me Pikmin vibes near the beginning. I like that I can hear what sounds like animals moving around in the environment. It adds a nice " In the wilderness " sense.
This gave me chills! Especially the first track, I love it!
Thank you! Glad you like it!
i feel like this is going to end in a high place
Calming and atmospheric! It relaxed me ♥
Oh my God, the last 3 really got me. Fantastic sound work and very emotionally impactful.
Really atmospheric and fits your development of the theme perfectly. Loved the creepiness of the Creature of the ruins track!
Thank you! I definitely had a lot of fun with that one
Particular and involving sounds, well done, I like your music :-)
Glad you like it!
I enjoyed your musics. They are varied and rich. The layered sounds are impressive :)!
omg i love that ! The grain is reeeeaaaally cool !! and the ambiance are insane. Desert sand is my favorite song, the mix are awesome and we really feel the desert ambiance. Love it !
Thank you!
I like the tasteful sound design, some of the synth sounds remind me of Disasterpiece's work. Really great work!, i enjoyed the whole soundtrack.
Thank you, I actually listened to a lot of Disasterpiece's work leading up to the jam because I knew it was a style (in both sound design and composition) that I wanted to take inspiration from. Glad you noticed!
Your approach is very interesting ! Love "Setting up the beacon" :)
very good sound quality
Beautiful... very impressive sound design!
I loved all the tracks and every aspect of them, great submission!!
Thank you!
Superb soundtrack!
I love the wide range of samples and electronic instruments... you're able to explore so many unique timbres and colors that add to the spacey feel. It also adds a lot of contrast: the second track especially is a lovely contrast to the first one.
The entire soundtrack has a wonderful cohesiveness, sounding serene and pure with hints of grittiness and brokenness, perhaps a reference to the game as you described it. I like the parts where the grittiness takes center stage, such as Creature of the Ruins.
I like the track Setting up the Beacon. Great really doomy feeling!
Thank you, I wanted to get that sort of feel with that track so I'm glad it worked out!
Just wow!
I would play this game! I'm gonna listen again to this :)
Glad you liked it!
Very nice ambiance, especially on Desert Sands
