I love them! It heavily reminds me of the rpg games, like Mardek, Legend of Zelda, even Omori! You're doing great!!

Description
Composed for OST Composing Jam #7, based on the theme "inside my world". Cover image by confidenceChoreographer ( https://www.tumblr.com/the-peculiar-rogue )
A disillusioned pre-teen uses a rainbow bath bomb - that they received for free from a suspicious lady - in a bubble bath one day and finds out that using it transports them to another dimension for a period of time?? That's supposedly created based on their wants, ideals and desires?? Which is literally a dream come true for our main character so much that they get even more bathbombs?? Surely there are no terrible consequences to using rainbow bath bombs frequently right??
Only one way to find out - by making nonograms. Yeah this OST is for one of those nonogram story games.

Tracks
1. my thoughts and dreams
Track that plays during the 'ideal dimension' nonograms! A cute waltz for the child-like wonder and charm of the 'ideal dimension'.
The track has a mostly classical instrumentation with a rather easy-to-follow melody in A1-B1-A2-B2 format. The piano parts are written to mimic a simple piano piece a child could learn to play to reflect the innocence of childhood and nostalgia, which is also why I chose to use a yamaha piano for those parts.
2. water under the bathtub
Track that plays during the "real life" nonograms! A haunting recurring melody for the nonograms that reflects our main character's tragic angsty backstory and loneliness - and why they are so attached to the 'ideal dimension'.
Since the water used for the bubble bath is the key to the 'ideal dimension', the track for 'reality' imitates the dripping of water outside the bathtub. The track sounds ironically dreamy due to the echos and repeating phrases, as it is to portray someone sluggishly waking up from a dream, and lingering in the memory of it, as if unwilling to let go of the experience. The track uses more electronic sound fonts to 'mature' the music, yet still with a yamaha piano to play the 'ideal' motif. Jarringly different style, instrumentation and emotion, yet some things desperately stay the same.
3. even in my ideal world i need more money
Track that plays during the cutscenes in between the nonogram gameplay. A peaceful soundtrack for moments that explain how this strange dimension works, some fluff moments between our main character and the person responsible for the bath bomb, and why our main character still needs to earn money in this supposed 'ideal dimension'. That's where the track title is from by the way.
This track returns to the cute and innocent vibes of the 1st song, since it is used when our main character explores the 'ideal dimension' and finds more information about it. Yet another simple melody with mostly classical instrumentation, with the return of the motif in the second half. The instrumentation in this piece is similar to my thoughts and dreams to create consistency in theme - the principle of the 'ideal dimension' is our main character's reluctance for changes in their life, after all, and what better way to show this than through music style.
Message from the artist
First jam I've participated in! It's a bummer that I only had like 2 days to work on this jam since I was incredibly busy beforehand. Would've liked to make more tracks or expand on the current ones a little more, but oh wells! Still was fun making them. Looking forward to listening to everyone's submissions :3
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
I interpreted the theme, 'inside my world', to explore the implications of someone's world, as opposed to the world. What if the world you longed for is so different from the one you lived in, so much that you'd rather stay dreaming of the world that will never come than face the reality you struggle to come to terms with? The difference in 'my world' and 'reality' can be seen through the different styles of the tracks; Some are simple, lively and peaceful, and others sombre and heavy. The use of instruments and reverb to reflect the lack of clarity of a skewed perspective, or classical chamber music arrangement to portray a more straight-forward, more child-like point of view.
