  • Hey! Nice game you've got here, gave it a play until the levels started looping and I quite enjoyed the basic gameplay loop. Id definitely be interested to see the rouge-like layers you intend to add. Basic, fun, functional, and on theme! all around very good :)

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
yes

Tell us about your game!
Terra Forma is a roguelike puzzler/rpg with mechanics reminiscent of Qbert. Step on wasteland tiles to flip them to green tiles.

Controls are qbert controls. By default WASD/directional keys move the character up-right, up-left, down-left, down-right respectively. A toggle on the menu changes these to use two-button combinations for accessibility.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Extra Notes
Just in case it isn't obvious, the concept of "it's spreading" in my game is manifested by the act of terraforming the biomes. Instead of something like a plague or undead. I wanted to make spreading the solution rather than the problem.

Super fun Qbert-esque game! Maybe I'm just an idiot, but the WASD controls were a little jarring. I couldn't quite wrap my head around the controls and had trouble consistently jumping to the intended tile.

Overall though, I enjoyed the game, loved the pixel art, and has a very satisfying gameplay loop.

I liked the overall vibe of the game :)
I had two  things that I noticed: 1. it was weird that you can not fall down at the sides of the maps, I think it would have made the game more challenging. And 2. I think when you collide with an enemy it creates a bug where a second enemy can jump on non existent ground tiles - in the air - esentially removing it from the map as a threat.

I think it is a good base for a game, hope you continue development!

I enjoyed the game!

The isometric to WASD took me a little bit to get at first but once I figured out the controls I enjoyed traversing the levels and watching the changes happen. Good entry and I can't wait to see where it goes from here!
