- Pretty good although the lighting makes it really really difficult to properly view every room.

This was a very fun submission! The music and the atmosphere were great! Once the duplication started things got so intense. I hope you guys stick with this and make a much bigger project out of this!
Thanks we plan too!
Interesting! I liked the level of detail in the environment, and the cursed music that seemed to become more ominous. I think perhaps I never found the true object though. Well done!
Thank you for giving the game a play! It can be hard - we are thinking about adding some experiments to the game to give the player new ways to find the true object :)
Really well put together game, loved playing through it and figuring out what to do when I found 50 tissue boxes in the living room hahahaha.
Only thing I will say is I want more! Really great base for a game and hope y'all work on it more.
Thank you! And thanks for playing our game on stream as well as all the other great games. I love seeing them all and hanging out.
We do plan on working on it more :)
I'm not sure how much of the lighting system was stuff that just exists in Unreal, and how much of it you had to build, but that was a really fascinating looking set of lights. The flashlight ended up feeling oppressive sometimes, in a good way, it ratcheted up tension. That first 30 seconds after duplication begins of trying to find what item it even is... When I realized it was pencils, I started jumping at every new pencil. There were a couple items that spawned in areas I couldn't reach, I assume that meant I didn't have to worry about them, cause they had to be duplicates, but still. Did the duplications happen based on how many duplicates there currently were? My actual biggest complaint was just that I didn't know you could open doors til I read the submission info more closely after playing, a prompt in game would have helped there. Very fascinating take, keep at it!
Thanks soo much for your comments :)
The lighting system is pretty much what exists in Unreal, which is really cool. I modified the basic settings :)
Yeah, I made it so only duplicates spawned in areas you cannot reach - hopefully. We had to make a last-minute change because we realized there was a spawn at the top of the bookshelves. Also, there has been some bad clipping that I am still investigating.
The duplicates have a chance to duplicate; it is smaller than the original item, but they still do. I am considering options for players to modify these values to customize the difficulty.
Oh no, about the doors! It is on our to-do list to show the key. Also, the outside doors can't open and I just realized there is no way you would know which doors go to the outside and which don't.
Thank you!!!
