  • Pretty neat! This game almost gives me splatoon-esque vibes which is really cool. I enjoy the gameplay although it's a bit tough to control at times. Maybe implementing button prompts would help.

Tell us about your game!
You have 2 forms: Run mode and Dive mode. Each come with different mechanics. In Run mode, you can jump higher for a short distance as well as shoot/spread and recover spores. In Dive mode, you can't shoot, but you have increase mobility. You jump in this mode is considered a launch. You have a shorter jump height over a longer distance. Spreading your spores is how you gain access to your Dive mode; you can "shift" into in. Also, the more spores in the area, the greater your damage, so try to keep it spreading.
Moreover, mechanics and controls are taught to you during the beginning of gameplay, an in world tutorial in other words.

Extra Notes
Godot exports have a tendency to be labelled as a virus due to not having a signed certification on the code. This can cause the game to be caught by the virus protection program or the browser.

I really like how gameplay feels. The character is really floaty, and it feels good to make far jumps when diving!
It was still a little messy to get launched in the direction you actually wanted, but I figured it out after a bit of playing.
I also went out of bounds, and fell out of the world haha!

I think the idea and art are cool! The mechanic is hard to interact with. I'm having the hardest time controlling when my character enters/exits the shroom state. Very floaty and couldn't consistently launch myself in the correct direction. Good idea, I think tuning the character controller would help.

Awesome! It's a really interesting mechanic, and I shouldn't be the best judge of this game because of how bad I am at platformers and games in general. However, in light of people like me it might be a good idea to place some of the help signs a little closer to the start! Or a slightly slower ramp-up in difficulty. I did really like that the signs were in the game world, and encountered organically rather than as part of a list of instructions.

The title screen and shooting mechanic are excellent, almost makes me want to encounter that again in the game itself if it could somehow be worked in.

Really nice effort, you should be proud of your submission!
