I really like the atmosphere, shame about the bug stopping progress, it was really going somewhere. Kind of reminds me of Yahtzee's 5 Days a Stranger and sequels, which really speaks to  me.  Thanks for including the godot project, was interesting too look through. Your code is so much neater than mine.

What I played was great. The audio was good as well as the overall concept. Art-wise most of the 8-bit sprites are solid--the character and some of the machines in particular. I think all it needs it a little consistency. The wall and floor sprites look like the pixels are much bigger than the other assets which creates sort of a mismatch of resolution. It might be cool to also play with some dither shading and a more limited color palette (cohesive art style).

That said, saw your post on the discord about the art style--honestly the critiques are minor and overall looks pretty good.

Thanks so much for the review! The BG was made first and I didn't really know what I would put in the scene. That's probably why it looks mismatched.

Game is bugged. After synthesizing 1 case, it doesn't let you synthesize another. I'll upload the fixes to a new project once they are done so  if someone is interested in playing into the harder parts of the game (the game starts off slow and then gets really hectic).
