- This was really fun, loved the designs and the way the character moves and looks and they port was even better! Would love more ingredients, and some more shadowy features.
- Had to pull myself away from this one. The gameplay is interesting and the comments from the narrator are witty and well timed. Love the art style and the UI elements of the different machines popping up at the bottom. Had some trouble where the water dispenser would seize up no matter how slow or fast I was going and would like to see a way to easier access different levels after clearing away the rubble. A way of keeping track of recipes would be nice, for those that don't have access to the GDD. Also had some trouble figuring things at the very beginning. Well done and thanks for all the hard work!
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes
Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes, though the Discord said a Google Docs link is preferred, so here is that: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R0fHSOLVq1GD05BTwxyUTQ-7aJa969qUeCAhM7cWD9c
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Tell us about your game!
ShadowBrew is a small platformer and time management game where you must manage winch and pulley driven scaffolds to create shadows that let you work in peace as you grow mushrooms, brew potions, conduct alchemy and, eventually, save your devastated mountain.
Extra Notes
We took upon ourselves some additional challenges: this was the first game we ever developed in the Godot engine. This was the first game with no external audio assets, with all original music, voice acting and sound effects. All the graphics are either fully original or based on self-captured photography, with no assets sourced from online image searches, even for reference material. It was a fun challenge!
