  • Love the idea! The shadow movement and the inspiration from the Binding of Isaac is clearly visible! And I love the art style and the music, they fit well together. I had a few issues, mainly, health potions are a little too rare, I understand where you are going with it, that they are supposed to be rare and make the game more challenging, but when an enemy runs faster than the player and you have enemies from which you can't avoid taking damage, you need to ramp up the recovery options a little. Also ran into an issue where the longer I played, the game became more laggy as I went, eventually, moving at 2fps, I couldn't keep exploring. All in all, I will be keeping an eye on this to see where you take it! Good work and keep it up!
  • I found the way the introduction to the story the game to be a bit funny; "hey I don't trust you, what you all think?" "yeah, that guy is kinda sus" - now I gotta escape a dungeon. Jokes aside, the use of shadows to tell a story that involves a sort of secret society, along with the combat and controls using shadows not just from objects but even from enemies, is very clever and a nice touch while playing. Using items to craft potions seems more simplistic, but the variety of items you can probably get in this game does intrigue me to continue exploring. The art was done very well. The music and sound effects accompanied the story and my time playing in a nice way, too (a big fan of being able to adjust volume settings). I think my only gripe, though small in my opinion, was how quickly enemies were to attack you the moment you were in either their line of sight or within a certain amount of space was between them and the player. Other than that, this really stood out to me, and I would love to play more in the future. Keep up the good work!

I loved this game but I felt like I was always on low HP. It would be nice if enemies dropped some health or mushrooms dropped more often. But, overall this game was very fun and creative

Thanks for pointing that out! I planned to add more enemies that dropped the healing moss to craft regen potions, but i didn't have much time left to submit the game nor playtest the game much. That being said i should've at least increased the drop chances on already existing enemies, kind of sad that I didn't!
