Really interesting concept, wasn't expecting something like this in this gamejam.

Really charming and fun!

Yeah, this is a complaint I got from others too, I agree the start is very VERY slow, and I never realized it due to my poor play-testing. Looking back to it there's a lot of stuff I would've added or changed drastically, like spawning less obstacles in the beginning, adding special objects along the walls that would boost you up instead of pushing you down, lowering the penalty of touching obstacles, etc... Oh and one very important thing i wish i had the time to add was a saving system, but i wasn't sure how i was going to achieve that for a web game.
I am thinking of updating the game, but for now I'll wait for the jam to end, and also finish my exams. Thanks for playing!

Thank you very much! I'll be honest, most of my play-testing was done with a lot of money and high upgrades so I could test other stuff, so i never realized how excruciatingly slow it is at first. When i asked some of my friends however they said it was fine, though looking back to it they probably just didn't wanna hurt my feelings or something (which is stupid, I WANT criticism). If i ever do make any more updates, I'll definitely make the start a lot easier (and of course add a saving system)
As for the UI, I'm very glad you liked it, this was my first ever project in Godot so i was a bit scared of how ambitious my UI idea felt, but it was a lot easier to make than I expected, and i think I've fallen in love with Godot's UI creation workflow.

thank you! I thought about adding new weapon types, but that seemed a little much for the limited time i had, so i decided to try and avoid scope-creep. I really enjoyed working on this however, and if i ever do work on it more in my free time, I'll probably add more guns and maybe ammo variations.

As for the crashing, i really don't know, but I do suspect it might be from the chunk loader. I spent like 2 days optimizing the loading and unloading system but maybe that's still too demanding for a web game...? it could also just be my fault more likely, I'm still relatively new to godot, seeing as this was my first godot project, so maybe there were better ways to implement certain things.

Funny idea that was executed really nicely, I especially love the little detail of the organ playing in sync with the bg music whenever you scream.

Really fun! Especially the level Super Jump, that was awesome.

I do feel like the hiding mechanic could've been improved. For a lot of the earlier levels especially I didn't really see a use for it. Also would've been great if moving whilst hidden and then going back idle (while still holding down control) didn't require the player to press control again to hide, I already am pressing down the button, why let go?

Other than that 'twas great!

Thanks for pointing that out! I planned to add more enemies that dropped the healing moss to craft regen potions, but i didn't have much time left to submit the game nor playtest the game much. That being said i should've at least increased the drop chances on already existing enemies, kind of sad that I didn't!

really fun
