  • Playability: 3. Soft locked after I read the desk note after getting a brain cell. Theme: 1. The theme is not present in this game- There are no shadows or alchemy. Cleverness: 4. I liked the humor and the setting is totally not realistic. Khronos would never let you eat first. Artistic Style: 4. Outside of a few random pixels, the art style is quite nice to look at!

Story driven game based on the PirateSoftware community. Storyline involves Thor being replaced by an interdimensional evil named Thar. Current state focuses on the introduction of Thar with a limited number of decisions impacting the current game. There are puzzles and secrets to uncover as well as ferret soupies to be created. Will you become the goblin with the mostest braincells?

Fun to play! The boxes game was tricky as I didn't understand where the ferret was going to come out of the box from. The graphics were great! Lots of dialogue too!

Nice little game you've got here. Really like the interactivity of it, being able to speak to pretty much every goblin you see.

Dialogue is fluid and easy to understand which is very important for a game like this. The pathing can be a bit confusing sometimes as you are learning the area, which is why I think the game could benefit from a small jog mechanic to move a bit faster, which would help in situation where you go the wrong way.

Overall fantastic little experience here and would love to see how much further it expands past Thar's reveal!

I'm really glad you liked it. There is a lot more that will be added (total of 7 areas including the dungeon because the goblins like things in 7s).

Funny you mention a jog mechanic because I removed that thinking it wouldn't be necessary. Guess I was wrong and will add it back in a post jam update, and see what people think. I'm also trying to come up with was to assist players with navigation that isn't too direct like signs or similar.

I think signs are a good idea. Having to go up to a sign to see which area it's leading to would be nice. This would reward the player for reading them in advance, so if you get a quest that requires you to go back to an area, you may already know the path based on your exploration earlier in the game.

Very true. Plus I want to have an interaction for everything down the track, even if it doesn't provide any benefit. Just so players know that they can check anything and everything, and maybe something would get revealed at some point. So a sign certainly leans in to that aspect.
