  • I love the idea of the game as well as the minimalist UI to bring me into the game, however the game is unfortunately unoptimized. I could not move further than a few steps without the view moving either to the ceiling or to the floor. The Menu was great however the look sensitivity slider felt like it wasn't doing anything.

Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Undying Shadows is a horror FPS where you are investigating a shadowy organization and discover eldritch forces are at work altering reality itself! Even though you are armed with a pistol, your enemies never truly die. So be careful to conserve and scavenge for ammo in order to stay alive. Will you be able to survive long enough to make it to the core of the facility?

The game utilizes traditional FPS control schemes and there are stealth mechanics, but not all fights can be avoided.

Extra Notes
I've included a Windows build for those that want the improved performance and lighting models of a desktop build, but for the sake of judging please just use the web build.

Dude, shout out for the nice voiceover! It took me to Max Pain and Max Pain 2. I also enjoy the jump scares. I would love to have some feedback on the enemies once they get shot. Also, a little crosshair or a dot in the center would have been good to have.

Developer

Thanks for playing the game and providing feedback! My intention was that the player would need to aim down the sights of their weapon to aim accurately, but I can see the desire for a crosshair even if it gives the shooting a bit of bloom as a tradeoff. Yeah, damage feedback makes sense. I was considering adding some blood effects, but the web build was being a little finicky and there's only so much you can do in 2 weeks ;) .
