  • This is a really interesting concept, and I love how the shadow theme appears as enemies and also as a metaphor for grief. The art style is cool. I really loved the 2d avatar and enemies despite running around in a 3d environment. The alchemy theme could have been incorporated more concretely, but overall, the game is fun. I do think including a health bar for the boss would help tremendously. I was initially offput by having to re run the whole level if I fell from a platform, but I think it's a good challenge and it really incentivizes being careful and suffering the consequences if you're not. Overall, it feels like you have a really strong foundation for this game and I would love to play this more as it evolves.

I love the look of your characters. It's very distinct and adds a lot to the game. The boss at the end I think was engaging for a first level.

I agree with those below that there is much wanting in terms of story or gameplay. I wouldn't get discouraged though, there really is something her that you could develop into something great.

Excellent job!

Great art! You got a really unique art style that really stands out. The game said it's about dealing with grief, though I didn't get that sense until the end when the chapter title came up at the end. A little context in the form of a cutscene or a few lines showing what's going on would help there!

Really cool and interesting game but its let down by there being no SFX and no background sounds which I think would of pushed this game further as a higher score to me.
