I really enjoyed playing this game, even though I struggled to get past level 4 with the moving platform whenever I got on it, it would always spin around until I fell to my death. I don't know what the later levels look like but I can assure everyone here that it will be a lot harder than Level 4, that's for sure. I do have a slight problem with the controls, mainly the ferret's movement. It feels a bit janky and it would not move with the moving platform a lot of times which more likely leads to death unless if I kept moving the ferret with the platform. I love how shadow and alchemy themes are demonstrated throughout this game. Nice work overall!

The controls feel difficult and awkward, and I didn't feel in control of the character as I was playing. Perhaps this was intentional? I didn't play long enough to feel like I was able to control the ferret

Hi, thanks for playing it! One thing to try I think that might help. Can you juggle? If you can you know you start out repeating a very simple task. Just transfer one ball from one hand to the other and you repeat that for a while. Now apply that to the ferret controls. On the first level on one of the thin horizontal platforms just move side to side with the goal of getting as close to the edge without falling off by holding left and right and only lifting your finger once per pass. Basically just oscillate back and forth in a slow consistent rhythm. Repeat that until you can consistently get very close to each edge without falling off. Once you can do that add some jumping in there and still maintain your accuracy. I believe once you can do this you will be very good with the controls.

Very nice job, Caz! As we talked about in my stream, to me, the controls feel a bit slippery, but the game does some really fun things with the physics!

Thanks Woots! Thanks for playing it!

Hey I was thinking about the controls and what it means for them to be slippery. Basically the ferret has a mass and friction And when you press left it applies a force to the left and right applies a force to the right. And jumping applies an upward force. So when you say it was slippery how would that translate to the physics parameters for the ferret? Would you adjust the mass? would you adjust the friction? would you adjust the force? I have tried many combinations until it felt right. I gradually got good and was able to move through the levels pretty fast given the parameters I used.

it's a lot of fun I love the little waddle sound effects

Hey thank you! I always worry about sound effects because hearing something a few times can be fun. Hearing something 50 times can be annoying.
