  • Nice idea to use summoning circles as the platform for alchemy, really leaning into the magic of it! Unfortunately, the shadow part is a bit lacking I felt. The game played well, other than when the area i should put down the ingredient was outside the room or under the shelved. I really liked your music too. If some more time and effort was put into this, I think this could be a really promising little game!
  • Would love to see this worked on more, I want to buy more ingredients to make more, I could see myself getting lost in this game. Very fun and neat ideas, would like to see more darkness/shadowy figures as customers wanting some night time sales.

For some reason it kept crafting 3 of the same item for me. Also I kept waiting for a way to upgrade, since in one of the screenshots it looks like there's a bunch of little helpers and multiple crafting circles? the GDD doesn't mention mechanics like that though, so I'm kinda confused.

I enjoyed playing this! I liked the visuals and music too. I especially thought the crafting visual effect was really cool!

Some feedback notes if you want to expand on this:

  • I also saw the bug the comment below mentions where I'd get 3 of the resulting item, but for me what I did was I would place all the required ingredients on the ground around me and then space. This seemed to give me 3 of the resulting item. It also felt a bit fun though! but seems unintentional.
  • The game does feel a little simple/repetitive right now when I played it, but I think there's lots of room for more--maybe some shop mechanics, more customers, some time limits, things like that.
  • I seemed to get stuck on this picture below. Not sure what happened, but couldn't seem to craft anymore. Not sure if I am just missing something or if it's a bug.

Overall, good job on the game!

There are a couple of issues here, unfortunately. There are only 3 recipes to craft, 2 of them use 1 bottle and 1 bottle of eyes. 2 of them use the wing. The other items, rat, feather and broken glider are used once. This means the player will consistently run out of bottles, bottles of eyes and wings before the other 3 materials. Even with perfect luck, you can only craft 12 items per day, which is not enough to clear the 14 day quota. Assuming normal gameplay, the days are way too long. You just have to wait to restock items at the end of the day. But because you might need some of today’s leftover items for the next day, the strategy becomes putting all leftover materials on the floor at the end of the day. Not that it matters really since, as I said before, it is mathematically impossible to get 3k within 14 days.

I encountered a bug, where I place 2 sets of all the required items for a recipe on the floor, then press space to activate the circle on top of it. This for some reason only consumed 1 set of the materials and gave me 3 of the resulting item. This in itself could potentially be a fun little mechanic to build your game around. But it seems to be unintentional here.
