- While I understand this was a dungeon-crawler styled game, I found the first time playing to be a bit of a buggy experience; getting swarmed by enemies once I entered the first door to my left from the main area, then the game 'glitched' me into the wall, returning me to the main area, also giving me a duplicated and overlapped hp bar. When continuing to play, everything still worked smoothly, but I was personally not a fan of how long it took to defeat a single enemy, let alone the handful you get per room. I also didn't find anything in relation to the overall themes presented while playing; to me, having enemies that look like shadow 'blobs' (could be slimes even) doesn't feel all that compelling. Even collecting items they drop after defeating them didn't seem to matter much (though I suppose I would have to complete more rooms to grasp this if I was missing how this was incorporated). I'd like to see more of how alchemy would fit into the overall game or even combat, though, I do hope you continue the hard work. Fine job all the same.

Yes
Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?

The game was supposed to be a dungeon crawler where you go room to room gathering ingredients and making the strongest potion you can find so you can defeat the enemies that await you, in hopes of reaching the dungeon bottom and finding... The ultimate ingredient! Sadly that was a lot more work then I anticipated. The dungeon is randomly generated, but there is only one room type, so it mostly looks the same. Throw potions at enemies to kill them (only one enemy, the shadow slime), they might drop a random ingredient you could use to make a nice potion. Pressing e will take you to the inventory, there you can drag items from your items grid to the ingredients grid, then once you throw a potion, it will have different effects.
Extra Notes
I learnt a lot making this, and I'm happy I took the chance to participate. Thank you for this nice opportunity.

Cute art, and interesting potion making mechanic. Sadly run into small performance problems and I couldn't open the inventory anymore after dying once. Still, very good!^^
I LOVE build your own ability games like this! Very impressive, the art is super cute, and procedural dungeon generation is fantastic. Seemed like there were some performance struggles when I loaded up on icicles and mentos, and unfortunately the game crashed after my 5th room or so, but I adore this idea. Thank you for building it and sharing it!
Wow, I wasnt expecting people to comment so this is a great surprise
Youre right, the icicles and mentos definitely cause a lot of lag, Im not exactly sure whats going on with them.
Thanks for playing it and commenting! It was pretty rough working on this near the end as the scope was too big for me to handle, but Im glad someone got to play it!
