  • The music and art were fine, but the UI elements were all over the place. The hotbar actively blocked the player. The death screen didn't cover the whole area. I didn't know why I would want to mix items I picked up. I basically was left to discover things without given a purpose to why I would want to. That is to say, there should be a positive feedback loop to the player, and it should be reinforced by the actions they make in the game. The game was definitely playable. So, take pride in that. I did have fun playing with what I got to play.

There's some pretty cool stuff here! It was fun and very arcade-y. I could see this in a real arcade with a high score screen and everything. The UI was a little in my way, but that could have just been the weird aspect ratio on my browser. Fun entry, good job!
