  • Now, where do I start? The music, quite catchy; definitely can listen to that for a good while. The art; the environments, the characters, the enemies, all of it, catches my eye, and exploring is fun. The story; the way you implemented the themes for this are unique to me, and, I find that the way items are collected and used don't feel 'generic' in regards to alchemy, so that's a very nice touch. Speaking of the story, after reading your summary on what to expect, and reading what the characters had to say, I am really intrigued on where this will go. Regarding the theme again, I very much like the use of the cat character as the "shadow" along with the way the other characters and enemies are used in this world, creating a somewhat eerie environment that keeps me on my toes and curious as to what can be done and found. This has been very fun to play, and I will want to play more. Awesome stuff!
  • Beautiful game, loved the zelda-esque feel. Controls felt good, dialogue was helpful and funny at the same time. I would say that some of the darker elements, like the shadow essence bar, didn't have enough distinction from the deep purple and black empty bar. A little refinement in color choice would increase readability!

You play as an alchemist in the lands between life and death who helps people cross over into the afterlife. It is a top-down RPG game were we have 3 unlockable abilities, including ice, fire, and an earth attack. Lastly, we included a final boss that fans of bullet hell games would love.

Having loads  of fun with the game! The controls feel bit clunky at first but I've grew to love the hack-and-slashy feel of it. The overall tone is also great. The final boss was way too hard for the controls though. You barely have the opening to go for a hit and run.

Bit nitpick would be the controls would really need some more love, and I would really appreciate controls other than mouse to attack. This feels like a controller game to me to be honest.

Anyway, well done!!!!

Honestly, the game is awesome. I would want some more improvements towards fight and movement because I was missing a lot of hits because I was facing north but with mouse hitting on south and thus not hitting anything. Other than that I'm in love. Art style, character design, music is so well crafted. Big kudos for that.

The only thing I didn't quite understand is, if our shadow giving us those comments/hints ? If so, then its genius!

Yeah the cat is the shadow under you, but the z-index didn't work sometimes so maybe it was confusing lol
