  • Character swapping is a good way to incorporate multiple themes, but I think the alchemy part is a bit thin. If the alchemist was able to use their skills to defeat monsters that would be more compelling.

You play as an alchemist who has accidentally brought your shadow to life and are now fighting monsters of both demonic shadows and alchemical creations in your lab.

This is a minimum viable game and, for most of our team, our first creation. We have plans for more features moving forward, including a more fleshed-out weapon system and goals beyond survival.

Extra Notes
Thank you for the jam we all learned a lot and I hope you enjoy our small game.

Very cute vampire-survivors style game. The shadow creatures look great, and so does the main character. The environment confused me at first because I thought part of the floor was actually walls, but I should have tested it I guess. The music is really good, and sets a playful but intense mood. I would love to see the fleshed out weapons and goals you have planned for this! Good job!

Hey, thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. If and when we get back to working on this, we have some lofty goals and aspirations for mechanics we want to implement! You'll be in the know :3

Appreciate the compliment on the music! Was very fun working with the swapping mechanic. I'd absolutely love to produce music for a fully polished game with this system.
