Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • Unfortunately i can not really see an implementation of either of the Jam Themes. The game is a fairly regular platformer with slight ragebait aspects. The Art is very nice.
  • Love the art style and the music and it very much feels like shovel knights with the constant resetting of the character. It's a very enjoyable experience and well put together! The movement could use a little polish, especially with the clinging to walls not working after getting the wall jump, it can feel a little jarring at first. All in all, really well done! Keep up the good work!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
Gnosis is a 2d platformer following an adventurer on a quest to climb the mountain and find the sacred Flower of Life. Controls are in the pause menu, and hopefully, the mechanics will show for themselves. Sorry if the UI pops up at random times, Lesson learned on trying to cram that in at the end.

Extra Notes
Thank you for getting me to actually get one of these done. It was big just for that. I started working through tutorials a couple months ago and this is my first Jam. Can't wait to do more.

Great art and cool neat abilities! The movement feels a bit floaty but you got solid fundamentals here!

Yeah, much of the polish got lost as I tried to switch my entire character and animations last minute and still have a somewhat finished experience.  Prioritization skills are gonna be a much bigger focus in the future for me.

Thanks for playing and responding!
