  • Your GDD was well put together and introduced what you planned for your game very well. My only suggestion is completing your "Controls" section with the mouse/spacebar for clicking through the dialogue options. Regarding the game itself, I enjoyed the short experience! There was a bug whenever I hit the final day, that it would go to the title card before the dialogue for the night before was finished, so the speech bubble would pop up where they were the night before and finish before moving on to the new day's dialogue. The bones were good for the story you were telling, but it felt like the details to properly show the struggle with mental health was missing. I think playing a dagger that can influence the main character is unique and I would've also loved to see more of what it was trying to do as well. The opening and ending(s) art were very well made, and I love the style you chose for it. I also loved the small background details that changed, like the cat coming out during day 2 to lay on the basketball court. It helped the world feel like it was alive. Overall I enjoyed the game and both endings were good!

I liked the art and the idea that a visual novel is played from the top down POV you usually get from rpg games, was pretty cool.

If you guys were given more time, I feel like this definitely would've been an interesting game. (Sorry i know ive deleted and repast this a couple of times, but I wasn't so sure where to place the comments haha)

We really appreciate the feedback! You're right, we originally planned a much longer story, but due to time constraints, we had to condense it for the demo. We hope you enjoyed what we were able to put together!
