The Jinn Particle's itch.io pageJudge feedback
Judge feedback is anonymous.
- This game is an extremely cool concept that has a lot of room for further development if you were interested in doing so! Notable areas for improvement: - The game crashes for me upon clearing the wave, rendering me unable to progress to wave 2. This appears to not be an issue for everyone, but worth looking into - I am unable to consider the GDD for any feedback as it was not uploaded to google drive as per the rules - The background looks nice but is a little noisy, and can make it difficult to distinguish the smaller enemies and their projectiles - The Hull tiles look like artisanal soap. Unsure if there's a lore reason for that, but if not it's a little odd. This game is very fun to play, the music is well made and fits with the vibe, and the core concept is super cool with many ways to develop into a fully fleshed out title. The controls are smooth, intuitive, and responsive, and I really hope this gets expanded upon in the future. Excellent work!

Yes
Summarise your game!
You are The Jinn Particle! Starting with a low amount of resources, you must survive wave after wave of enemy ships.
Every ship you kill gives you resources that you use in-between waves to build or repair yourself.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player is the weapon. They build themselves in any configuration they desire. Be that to their benefit or demise.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
After the 3rd wave, there is no new content. Just more enemies.
Any bugs you report, I'll try to fix, and update it after the jam voting is over.

Love the warp effect! Visual Candy. The game seemed to crash when i tried to move when my engines were destroyed, which you may want to fix if you continue development. I'm also not sure if there is a way to make the missiles fire, as they didnt appear to be autofiring like the lasers. Those buzzsaw ships are brutal. I had fun with it, but could have used a little more direction in the start.
Really cool game! One little thing is it would be great to have a little more feedback on the damage your ship is taking. It's satisfying to load her up with lots of laser guns and introducing new enemy types was engaging.
