  • I genuinely loved this game. It was simple, cute, and funny. The Game design document was exactly what we're looking for. It had all the right pieces, and I got a feel for the game before even pressing 'play.' I noticed that you had some sounds mentioned in your GDD that didn't seem to make it in the game, but that is no issue at all. We often don't always get everything we wanted into a Game Jam in the time allotted. The sounds that were there were very fitting to the overall tone of the game. Given how short the game was, another layer of 'choice' or another generational choice after the first would have been awesome to see. The artwork was perfect for the style of the game. I wouldn't change anything about it. I liked that each story had it's own ending. It was clever. Even the last ending was particularly clever because the sword who was 'choosing' a wielder never got 'chosen' themselves. Very good use of irony. My only problem with this game is that it was so short! I love Visual Novels and I had to play every ending just to see what each one was. Excellent game overall.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
This is a short visual novel, you take on the role of an Excalibur-like sword and has to decide between 3 candidates for the throne.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
the idea is that you are a magical (and powerfull) sword, the one you choose as your wielder will, for certain, bring changes to the world arround.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Any feedback would be awesome, this is my atempt to learn how to make cutscenes and a dialog sistem in gamemaker and my second game project.

Loved the simplicity and art direction. Got a laugh from the last person to wield the sword
