- Puff Tuff was a hilarious experience, and I found the music, sound, art, and theme to be pretty hilarious. The most violent people in the game are technically the ones shooting at you, which makes the entire scenario feel more like you're the good guy. I found juggling enemy aggression and attack patterns in rooms full of pillars to be a solid level design choice, as well as I was drawn to laughter by the thought of a man with 147 cigarettes in his pocket. I achieved an A rating on the first level and plan to go back and finish the game as soon as I finish writing this review. Thank you so much for this hilarious entry to Pirate Software Game Jam 16. You *are* the weapon.

PUFF TUFF is a first person game about cigarettes and murder, where smoking cigarettes is the only way to decrease your rage meter. If it ever caps out, you die :3 you also punch enemies and shit like that
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
We felt that the idea of a lethal rage meter fit the idea of You being The Weapon quite well, in a badass jason statham action hero sorta way whose only weakness is his own murderous rage etc
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Notice how we completely knocked it the fuck out of the park B))))

What a great and stressful game haha!
I don't know how you did it, but this game gives me the anxiety to start smoking. Glorifying smoking may not be a good message to send, but I still think smoking is pretty funny. I love the old Doomesque billboarded enemy style. Definitely a style of videogames I want to try making. Great game.
I see a lot of comments saying they can't beat the first level. It's not that hard when you have a pack of burnable life sticks at your ready. Just had to learn the style of: attack, retreat and burn a dart, and get back into the melee worked of me.
thankyou! cigarettes are hilarious and half the reason this exists is because I'm obsessed with the idea of dedicated "smoke cigarette" buttons in games. binding it to mouse2 is insanely funny to me
as far as glorifying smoking goes, if anyone starts smoking because of puff tuff, please let me know so we can give you a tour of the funnyman studio (my bedroom) valve style

its too hard!!!! i cant get past the first level :'( but i really enjoyed the music and the game--- *dies of hemmorage*
fucking rocks, i really enjoyed the music and visuals, aswell as how the game generally feels to play, reminding me of stuff like gun godz and post void. my sole complaint is how it feels like youre doing nothing to the enemies because it takes like 10 punches to knock down a dude. it fits the theme of the jam well with your addiction quite literally powering you through. good fun game i like it
thank you! enemy health was a big sticking point for us as well. it was on the list, but our time management wasnt very good so we didnt have time to test any alternatives unfortunately. if we had an extra week thatd be the first thing I'd change lol

The game has a cool concept with different packs of cigarettes and a stylish visual design. However, it lacks a bit of unique gameplay to make it truly stand out. That said, I still enjoy it overall!
