I love the variety of back up you can buy. The intro with the notes on cinematic shots was hilarious and you had a great voice for the Gandolf character. What a wonderful addition to the platformer suicide bomber genre. Which, mark my words, will be the next big thing!

Hilarious game. Having a music video intro was awesome. I played a couple times and continued to lose to the Lich, probably because of the upgrade I chose, but when you're faced with that option, you have no other choice.

Super polished game. I love how cute it is with the contrast of how violent some of the deaths are. I had previously just played Puff Tuff, so to see more smoking character was pretty funny. Don't smoke!

Great game, I loved it.

I don't know how you did it, but this game gives me the anxiety to start smoking. Glorifying smoking may not be a good message to send, but I still think smoking is pretty funny. I love the old Doomesque billboarded enemy style. Definitely a style of videogames I want to try making. Great game.

I see a lot of comments saying they can't beat the first level. It's not that hard when you have a pack of burnable life sticks at your ready. Just had to learn the style of: attack, retreat and burn a dart, and get back into the melee worked of me.

(1 edit)

Really fun game. I love the graphics. The cutscene in the beginning looked great. I love the ambiguity of it possibly being the man dreaming he's in the movie. Punching the guys out the window was hilarious.

I don't know how I did it exactly, but I managed to glitch through the wall in the  3rd level and skipped to the last level without beating the guys in the 3rd level. The music was a major bop. I could listen to that loop for hours.

This was a really fun beat'em up. Graphics are great, controls felt great, music great!

I think the big chonky obsidian sword was my favourite, with it's attack finishing off 2 opponent swords at once. But I think the strongest sword I got was the katana with the enchanted handle and I don't remember what effect it had.

I told my game jam team about your game and one of my colleagues messaged me shortly after telling me he got a full enchant baguette!

I’ll try playing it again sometime, but I can’t think I did anything in particular. I didn’t touch any settings. I don’t remember seeing any options with or without timer. I just picked the first available option to play the game.

This game is great. I was addicted and obsessed with getting a full bagette sword. I did not succeed because I need to move on to play some other game jam games, but I think you got an hour of my life with this game, which is crazy for a gamejam game.

This game has a lot of potential. I think there could be improvements:

Giving the player the ability to access the stats of each sword and give a better explanation of what the powers do. The only way I figured out to get any understanding of the stats was to check when selling items in the shop.

There is also a few timing issues. Sometimes swords would die before the attack animation, other times there would be a delay in them dying.

The attack and damage animations could be juiced more.

I found the smith screen and the army screen too similar and sometimes mixed up what screen I was on.

I also would love to see where the story goes.

Still this is my favorite game I've played this game jam by far. Good luck!

This game was pretty funny. I found the timer a little fast, I wasn't able to read all the conversations, I just clicked on the best negative reputation. Also the timer went down when while I was waiting for more chats to pop up. Still a fun game.

Great sound effects. The sound effect played when taking over a new host was great. Tons of viruses, I don't think I would have a hope of clearing out 100 viruses.

Fun graphics and sound effects. Good roguelite elements. The game kind of glitched out for me though. One enemy wouldn't disappear. I don't think it could damage me though. Also the enemies and I started to be able to move of the upgrade screen. Then I kept getting the upgrade screen and once I have selected every upgrade from that screen, it wouldn't close. Overall good game.

I like the graphics and rogue like elements. Fun game

Good game. I like the zoom-in effect on the map. Reminds me of Slay the Spire. Fun to play

I really like the chunky pixels of the enemies with the contrast of the small bullets. I made got over 100 points without getting hit. One minor bug, sometimes I would shoot and enemy and my harpoon would stop as if it hit the enemy but I wouldn't get the enemy. It didn't affect my enjoyment, I just pretended that enemy had an extra hitpoint.

This game was fun. The design was super polished and the music gave a great ambiance. I really liked it. Had a lot of fun.

Such a fun game. It was really fun to play. I love the chill zen like skydiving music, followed by the sudden smack into the ground. Made me laugh out loud.

The graphics and music are on point. I love the flight mechanic. Everything looks so polished. I got stuck because I ran out of bread.

Really satisfying to break everything. Graphics were good. Music was good. Shop was fine. I really like this game. Only thing was I wished the level end screen popped up a bit faster.

Crouch is the ultimate move, no enemy can defeat me when I crouch. Fun game

Also your music is a bop!

I like this game. Controls were smooth. I like the way the white blood cells are both an ally and an enemy. Great music.

Fun game. Cleaver mechanic. I found jumping from the platform a little janky, but other than that I loved it.

I love the graphics and the music. Very calming vibes. The game was fun. I didn't get very far, I had a hard time understanding the rules

Great graphics. I love the aerobics theme. Gotta protect your protein!

Fun game. The controls feel great. I love the trolly bits. I could not beat 5 platforms. too hard for me.

Great game, the music was nice a chill. I like the reward of the flip mechanic giving you a power up. I also like that the forgiving punishment for landing on your head during a flip was just a sound effect and didn't delay the game play. I though it was nice to have the developer's time at the end to encourage speed runs.

It's quite creative how you have the guns attach to you. I couldn't help but get a weird janky setup.

One bug I ran into was that my WASD controls didn't work when I was in fullscreen.

Thanks for playing a commenting.

I’m really happy you see the Sierra inspiration. FTK may be more King’s Quest inspired, but my favourite is still Space Quest.

thanks for playing our game!

The levels were originally much harder and had a minimum of 3 bombs required for most of the levels. If you arrived at the dragon with less, smoke would come out the dragons ears. We had a couple play tests say it was too difficult so we scaled back the difficulty including the required number of bombs, because for a game jam we just wanted to showcase the mechanics, story, art and music. We wanted as many people as possible to be able to beat it. So if we make a bigger game from this, difficulty will be increased and bomb requirements will be higher.

Thanks, the dog is based on my dog IRL and she’s the star of my game: The Sadie Game. Unfortunately, there was a glitch in the upload and her idle sprite disappeared. Please play For The Kingdom!…? If you have a spare moment :)

I love the John Wick parody. The personalities of the frog and spider really shine through. Grinding the web was fun. I got pretty good at the grapple mechanic. Got up on top of the microwave. Great game, thanks for making it.

Thank you for playing our game

We had originally made the levels pretty difficult, but some initial feedback was that it was too hard. So we dialled it back for the game jams. We want people to be able to see the whole game.

Thank you for playing our game. Thanks for the suggestion. I think a jump buffer would really help with the issue of trying to jump as you are coming down a slope.

Thank you for playing. I’m glad we share a sense of humour. You are right It was so fun to make. we were all laughing at each others updates the whole time.

Good game. I found it hard to maintain my towns, but I still had fun. Those damn eldritch horror clouds kept keeping me down. lol

Such a good Duck Hunt clone. So beautifully absurd. I got scared when the sky started to look like Giygas. My high score was 21,000

Such a silly game, bouncing on your butt with a sword. Controls took a while to understand. I think the instructions were clear, but I guess I figured the bounces would bounce off at the opposite angle, not the direction of the arrow.

I really like this game. The graphics are perfect. I love the commitment to minimal palette sprites. The way the colours were used to make everything pop was great. I found the one section with the hallway of floor tiles that open up particularly challenging because it seemed like the floor opened as soon as you touched it, but it only opens after you jump off it again.

The retro 3d graphics on this game really work. It looks so cool. My only recommendation is some type of radar to help find the mining point quicker.

I really like this game, I found it very engaging and interesting. Atmosphere was on point. Well done.
