I love the variety of back up you can buy. The intro with the notes on cinematic shots was hilarious and you had a great voice for the Gandolf character. What a wonderful addition to the platformer suicide bomber genre. Which, mark my words, will be the next big thing!

I don't know how you did it, but this game gives me the anxiety to start smoking. Glorifying smoking may not be a good message to send, but I still think smoking is pretty funny. I love the old Doomesque billboarded enemy style. Definitely a style of videogames I want to try making. Great game.
I see a lot of comments saying they can't beat the first level. It's not that hard when you have a pack of burnable life sticks at your ready. Just had to learn the style of: attack, retreat and burn a dart, and get back into the melee worked of me.
Really fun game. I love the graphics. The cutscene in the beginning looked great. I love the ambiguity of it possibly being the man dreaming he's in the movie. Punching the guys out the window was hilarious.
I don't know how I did it exactly, but I managed to glitch through the wall in the 3rd level and skipped to the last level without beating the guys in the 3rd level. The music was a major bop. I could listen to that loop for hours.
This was a really fun beat'em up. Graphics are great, controls felt great, music great!
I think the big chonky obsidian sword was my favourite, with it's attack finishing off 2 opponent swords at once. But I think the strongest sword I got was the katana with the enchanted handle and I don't remember what effect it had.
I told my game jam team about your game and one of my colleagues messaged me shortly after telling me he got a full enchant baguette!
This game is great. I was addicted and obsessed with getting a full bagette sword. I did not succeed because I need to move on to play some other game jam games, but I think you got an hour of my life with this game, which is crazy for a gamejam game.
This game has a lot of potential. I think there could be improvements:
Giving the player the ability to access the stats of each sword and give a better explanation of what the powers do. The only way I figured out to get any understanding of the stats was to check when selling items in the shop.
There is also a few timing issues. Sometimes swords would die before the attack animation, other times there would be a delay in them dying.
The attack and damage animations could be juiced more.
I found the smith screen and the army screen too similar and sometimes mixed up what screen I was on.
I also would love to see where the story goes.
Still this is my favorite game I've played this game jam by far. Good luck!
Fun graphics and sound effects. Good roguelite elements. The game kind of glitched out for me though. One enemy wouldn't disappear. I don't think it could damage me though. Also the enemies and I started to be able to move of the upgrade screen. Then I kept getting the upgrade screen and once I have selected every upgrade from that screen, it wouldn't close. Overall good game.
I really like the chunky pixels of the enemies with the contrast of the small bullets. I made got over 100 points without getting hit. One minor bug, sometimes I would shoot and enemy and my harpoon would stop as if it hit the enemy but I wouldn't get the enemy. It didn't affect my enjoyment, I just pretended that enemy had an extra hitpoint.
Great game, the music was nice a chill. I like the reward of the flip mechanic giving you a power up. I also like that the forgiving punishment for landing on your head during a flip was just a sound effect and didn't delay the game play. I though it was nice to have the developer's time at the end to encourage speed runs.
thanks for playing our game!
The levels were originally much harder and had a minimum of 3 bombs required for most of the levels. If you arrived at the dragon with less, smoke would come out the dragons ears. We had a couple play tests say it was too difficult so we scaled back the difficulty including the required number of bombs, because for a game jam we just wanted to showcase the mechanics, story, art and music. We wanted as many people as possible to be able to beat it. So if we make a bigger game from this, difficulty will be increased and bomb requirements will be higher.
I really like this game. The graphics are perfect. I love the commitment to minimal palette sprites. The way the colours were used to make everything pop was great. I found the one section with the hallway of floor tiles that open up particularly challenging because it seemed like the floor opened as soon as you touched it, but it only opens after you jump off it again.
