  • GDD Near perfect GDD, the images from the inspiration and the mechanics gave me a clear idea of what to expect. I would only add a timeline of development with credits for it to be perfect. Gameplay Droidtato, hell yeah. Nice gameplay loop; there are only a couple of enemies at a time, but it can be easily expanded. The wave difficulty increase was on point. I noticed a few issues with collision, then a lot of enemies started to form a mosh pit; they tended to clip over the obstacles, even when it was the large chasm. I would like to have an ammo count if ammo was going to be used. In this case, I don't think it's a fun idea, since the ammo comes in the RNG shop, which is very RNG with the prices too, so a scenario where you have no ammo happens quite a bit. If ammo will be used, it's good to implement a melee attack to avoid a forced game over situation. Art Very charming art. It was well detailed, to the extent that it was a shame that I could not play full screen. The enemies have nice details on it, and the color palette was easy on the eyes, with a nice HUE. Sound design I loved the BGM loop; it got me in the mood quite quickly. For SFX, the movement has the track sound, but the weapons have no effect. I understand that when you are wielding 4 assault rifles, the noise can get a bit too much, but a good BRRRRRR Vulcan style can never go wrong. Last thoughts Neat game; it was clear where the inspiration was drawn from, and the loop was very enjoyable. Great job.

I like the idea! Really similar to the inspirations mentioned in the game design document. One thing I found a bit hard to grasp at times was what different items actually did. Nothing a simple tool tip couldn't change, though!

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm looking into adding some tooltips soon.

This is a fun little run and gun. never found out what the keys do, but I'm pretty bad at mouse and keyboard controls, lol

Developer

Keys open chests that give you new guns, I should've made chests a little more aparent I guess.
Thanks a lot for playing btw!
