  • A quite interesting puzzle mechanic! The idea of setting yourself on fire to deal damage or remove obstacles while balancing it to progress adds a unique layer of strategy. Currently it seems that I can set myself on fire indefinitely, for an extra challenge I would love to see a replenishable health mechanic. However, I encountered a few issues while playing. Moving left at the start caused me to fall through the map. Than, Pressing "0" spawned me inside walls and eventually crashed the game. I also had the problem that the Music was inconsistent—sometimes it wouldn't play at all, and after reloading the tab, there was about a 50/50 chance it would start. Your GDD is well-structured and provides all necessary details, but adding more images—especially GIFs showcasing specific mechanics—could improve clarity and engagement. Overall, this game has a lot of potential and was genuinely fun! I’d love to see more levels, obstacles, and refinements in the future. Keep up the great work!

Summarise your game!
You are a slime looking for his girlfriend. Unfortunately for the monsters and puzzles, they are in the way.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The slime uses his environment to change to destroy enemies and puzzle challenges.

Thanks for playing! It was quite fun watching someone else play my game and discover some fun bugs. I see you got to experience the bug where the collisions Bethesda you around the room :D

This is pretty fun, I do wish there was some instruction at the beginning that tells you what the blue skulls do, although it's pretty easy and quick to figure it out

nice work! wish there was some sound. at least some music. but i like the mechanic. good job!

Thanks! Yeah there is a weird issue with the music. It only played for me sometimes. HTML5 games can't play sound until they have an interaction like a mouse click. There is a way in gamemaker to setup some sort of listener pattern that also makes sure that the browser audio API is ready to go. I just didn't have time. This is the music though:

Oh that’s weird. My game was made in game maker and it still plays. But that sounds sweet! Thanks for sharing it

I'm personally not a fan of precision platforming, but it does seem well implemented.
