  • What a unique game! I really enjoyed playing Oxidooxy Oxidanium. The artwork for this game is so nice. It fits very well, the colors, even though they are mainly primary colors, do not clash. Each color fits where it is, and it doesn't feel too flashy. I liked the 'code' system for changing what the gun was doing. At first I thought the game would be quite easy, but when I realized how the code system works, I understood how it could be a bit more challenging. If you continue with this game idea, I would love to see the levels get harder by adding additional gun options and codes. Like leveling up a player in Mortal Kombat and they get more combos. Very clever use of the 'you are the weapon' theme. I dig it. The game played very well. I had no issues during my playthrough. The keys felt very responsive, and once I figured out the combos, the game became quite fun. The UI was minimalistic, which is perfect for this game. No bugs popped up or interrupted the game, that is a huge bonus! The GDD is a little light, but it has all the features and elements of the games, so no real complaints there. You should be very proud of the game you put together, it is excellent!

Summarise your game!
A fellow astronaut is stranded in outter space!

After an asteroid hit his head, your spaceship companion got unconscious in open space. Help him return safely to the spaceship by controlling remotely his gun using the on-board console.

Use the SONAR mode to find the ship.
Use the FIRE mode to destroy the asteroids.
Use the IMPULSE to blast the astronaut in space!

Reach the ship before the Oxygen runs out!

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You don't control the astronaut. You can only control the weapon functions from the on-board console in the ship.

The animation hitting the button was a nice touch. The tutorial page was a little overwhelming, an in-game tutorial would be a good addition. Looks like a lot of work went into this! Good job!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we wanted it to fell as you were really the operator of the machine. Agree on the tutorial part: the game has a lot of mini-mechanics that need to be learnt before even attempting to reach the ship, but unfortunally the time constraint would not allow us to make a proper tutorial. Yes, it was a lot of work, but we learned a lot. Glad you enjoy it!
