  • This was a very interesting take on the classic shooter theme with the toy missing an arm. I did feel that the lean was a bit excessive, as it threw off my aim more than making movement feel natural. I would honestly make that a setting instead of basekit, or at the very least decrease it heavily from its current form. Other than that everything felt clean, art was on theme, and the idea was a dream mix of mega man meets doom. Moving on to the Game Design Document, everything I look for was there, and the format was nice and organized. The only things that I would add are “Finish By” dates for the items in the timeline to give a sense of dependency/ importance as certain items will need to be completed before others and adding item types to show at a quick glance whose department is working on it. Usually this would be put into a table for the minimum product for the project deadline (hence why tracking dates is important), and the extras section, which you have two of (and that I may start using in my own projects now). All in all, great work!!

Good job! The gun is very satisfying to shoot, especially while strafing. The bat didn't have a swing animation unless it didn't work for me so it didn't feel half as good. I actually really liked the leaning screen tilt while shooting left and right. I think it would have felt even better if it was lerped instead of the tilt being applied instantly though.
