- Genetic Seige is an interesting take on a tower defense style game. I loved the theme interpetation of being a cancer as the weapon and letting that drive the rest of the game style. Adding in the sci-fi style weapons & building designs but including costs as ATP & proteins was interesting. Having multiple upgrades per cell/tower so you could mix and match cells was a great system in the game, especially when you add in the upgrade system that made you tailor cell designs to get the max upgrades. I ran into a couple minor issues with rounding on the protein bank, not sure how but ended up with a 20.60001, also when selecting an upgrade if the mouse cursor was on the edge it would flicker trying to highlight. Minor bugs to be squashed :) The graphical design of the game was amazing, loved the different styles of enemies - especially in a 3d game. Animations of enemies and cells worked flawlessly. Playability was great, i enjoyed the pacing and challenge as you level up through subsequent waves. Overall, great job!

Summarise your game!
Genetic Siege is a biology focused Tower-Defense game where you play as a cancerous tumor trying to expand and survive in a host body. As you grow in size you choose mutations which help you survive against the efforts of your host to remove you. You have to develop and maintain a cancerous colony of cells against waves of attacks. If successful you are slowly rewarded with mutations designed to augment various aspects of your colony.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
‘You’ - In this tower defense game, the battle isn’t just between "us" and "them"—both sides are you. The cancerous growth you cultivate and the immune system fighting against it are both powerful forces, mirroring each other in their relentless struggle.
‘Weapons’ - Both the cancer and the immune system wield their own destructive tools, each adapting and escalating as the conflict intensifies. As you progress, you evolve into a more formidable force while facing increasingly dangerous opposition.
Illness is more than just a biological phenomenon—it’s a force that has shaped history, exposing vulnerabilities not just in the body, but in society itself. The failure to take diseases seriously has led to widespread harm, from pandemics to systemic neglect of public health. In this game, illness is not just a threat but a weapon, one you control, one that spreads, evolves, and challenges the very defenses meant to contain it.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I'd like to give a special shoutout to our artist who, alone in two weeks, made every single asset seen in the game, including: emission maps, normal maps, textures, all 3D meshes, and animations.

This was so much fun! Also a little bit difficult, but I love that!
Hey y'all commenting again since it looks like you lost all of them? :(
I really enjoyed the simplicity of this RTS tower defense like! Building up the little bits from the base cell to getting fat cells was super cool! I think the thing I would add in is more ways to see what the current build of each cell is and what the stats of each are. Or maybe what the current stats are as a whole of your towers!
Enjoyed my time with this one. Well done!
Thanks for stopping by again and leaving a comment! We had such a good time working on this one that we plan on polishing it up a bit more. I think you are completely right and I'd love to incorporate those features in a later version :)
