Is this a very thoughtful piece? VERY. It really made me think. I'm lucky in that way - I grew up with no church or religion so I don't have these problems...
But can I in good conscious say this is a great game? Not for this jam, that's for sure! *wince*

If I'm honest, submitting an essay as a game felt a bit like you weren't taking the jam seriously, which is a shame, because I definitely support the message, and I wish there were games out there dealing with this subject matter.
