Thanks for the question and sorry for the delay answering: Jack and king cards say "before moving" so they are not linked to a fight 🙂

Hello Andrea,

Cards can only be played during battle if you have the weakest unit, correct?

Reason why I'm asking is because the Jack and King talk about movement...so I can use their ability on my next turn? or for retreating purposes?

Thank you!

Faq:
1) At game start each player draw 6 cards, but the hand size is 8, thus at end of first red turn each player shold have 8 cards, this is to allow some fog of war even in player's own army at battle start.
2) During fight cards are played to add points to final TS (total strength)
3) If an unit retreats after combat, it retreats only backwards

Files for the  0.2 version of KartenKrieg are available for download; live RTokarczuk suggested weakened back counters are added, they have a black band on the counter. Now Cavalry has a "+1 open" note on it (front and back) to remind that in open fields cavalry has always a +1 to TS.

Thank You for Your game!

How do you denote/ keep track which unit is already "weakened" or lost its' all points and cannot be reinforced with King card anymore?

Would it be possible to use reverse side of the counter? (Currently, the reverse does not look like much but it is possible to tell apart a cavalry from infantry :) ).

Developer

that is really interesting and I think I should edit it with a weakened side, even for cavalry. I used counters reverse just to point out modifiers, but I agree and I will do it. Thanks
