I had trouble getting this to work even on PPSSPP (inputs weren't working on my computer for some reason?!) and it would crash on my PSP-1000 and Go, but luckily my brother (Skleembof) got it working on his, so I went over there to finally try it out just in time before voting ends!

The game was fun! I had actually never played an FPS game on PSP before, but using the L/R triggers to control the camera turned out to be intuitive. The game's slippery physics take a while to get used to, but I think that adds to the challenge/fun of it. Graphics were nice, and I especially liked the music.

I never made it all the way to the top though. I fell down too many times and eventually gave up :(

The idea of bugs giving you power-ups is cool, but I think they run out too quickly. It's not immediately obvious what they do sometimes, and by the time you figure it out it probably ran out.

But anyways, great submission!

Your 3D platformer was a lot of fun. Your bug catching with a timer was a great combination. I was surprised that I could jump (and onto the platforms, no less!) and run around. Great job making this game!

I really liked test the game before it cames out, also the soundtrack it's perfect and even the theme of the game (making that little words game with the title and the word "bugs" haha soo cool).  It's actually playable on a real PSP, but for a better experience I recommend to use PPSSPP. I want to see more about this project in the future!

We might be making more levels and improvements to the game, so stay tuned!

Seemed a little buggy. Sound effects are a little shabby but the music was great!

Lol, I see what you did there. thanks grave!

Here's a speedrun of the game:)

That was fun, I liked how forgiving the platforming was since not being able to look up and down was a challenge.

I got stuck once I got to the top of the buildings though. I couldn’t figure out how to climb further up because the character didn’t jump high enough to reach the closest platforms.

Jumping around catching bugs was fun, and the music slaps

I played it on ppsspp and it ran at a full 60fps

Glad you liked it! I didn't quite have enough time to put a tutorial in, but the bugs actually give you special abilities. The red ones allow you to jump multiple times in the air. Try pressing the jump button at the top of your jump after picking up a red bug!

Also I made all the music myself from scratch so it's good to hear that it slaps haha

good game but didnt know what to do; it also ran pretty badly on a psp; enjoyed it tho

The Beastie Urgent Grabbing Squad (B.U.G.S.) is an intergalactic rapid response body for catching and removing deadly bugs infesting different planets. Your mission is to clear bugs out of an infested city and make it to the end platform before time runs out! But beware, these bugs are known to cause some strange, "glitchy" effects. Explore the city, figure out the effects of the different types of bugs, and use them to your advantage in this fun 3D platformer!
