This game has serious potential, your game engine seems to have a lot of functionality built-in that most pygame games do not. However, the gameplay itself could be more interesting and satisfying.
I found the energy system unnecessarily strict. After a couple levels I started feeling as though the movement speed was reduced to make the game seem longer than it actually is.
This game pays a fair bit of attention to detail, and I hope to see a version of it that was made in a longer time span than the duration of this game jam :)
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I, the developer of this game hate the stamina system too. I won't deny some parts were a bit rushed, I'm planning to continue developing the game after the jam ends using an upgraded version of the engine. I will try to work on fixing the gameplay loop so it feels more natural and satisfying.
Whoa. That intro and startup polish was so good. You should have included the `sitkaheading` font in your assets since pygame just ended up using the default font. Running out of energy was a bit annoying
You did some great work with the running animation art and the way you introduced the tutorials (with hints above the necessary areas). Nice work!
Ah, totally forgot about the font. Thank you for feedback, the game will be improved after the jam ends and more features will be polished properly to fit the modern standards.
