Yeah! I loved your cut on the theme! Feels good, not easy for a platform. Overall a very solid entry! Good job!! :)
Thank you for playing!
Hey pretty awesome game! I'm actually very impressed! The intro screen was nice and the objective and controls were very well explained. Definitely felt like this was an awesome tribute to NES games, particularly Megaman. The chiptune music was also very well done and fit perfectly with the 8bit style game! I like the pixel art and the snakes are pretty cute! The level design was pretty awesome, although I did take moment to figure out that I was supposed to drop down to progress in certain parts of the game (I was too scared of dying and I wasn't sure if certain falls would kill me haha). I also liked the hidden collectible orbs, I think I collected them all although I wasn't sure if they actually did anything. Overall though I really did enjoy this game a lot! Music was awesome. Sound FX were awesome. Visuals were awesome. Gameplay was awesome too although I wish I could have played it with my gamepad instead of the keyboard.
Overall great game! Good job guys!
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Graphics and music are pre-made assets made by Jonathan Co, they are pretty awesome, especially the music.
Cute little game! I would recommend 2 things for your further development. Add some sort of a n indicator for how far in the level you are. Especially when you have vertical movement you can very easily feel like you don't know if you are going in the right direction as the player. Secondly, try to add some sort of indicators when jumping down is safe and when it is not. On the first screen for example, you die if you don't make the jump, however on the second one you don't. This is inconsistent and messes with the logic model you just learn from the first screen. So either try to be consistent or try to make some sort of indication that you can indeed (not) jump down.
Thank you for the feedback!
