Editing game files after May 3rd?

Hi, I’m working on a game that I plan on submitting, and was wondering if one can edit the game files at all after the jam ends and before the bundle starts in June? Or are games added into the bundle as they are as of May 3rd?

After May 3rd users will get a link where they will post the urls of their project to finalize their submissions. After the finalization period is over, you will not be able to add any new games.

That being said you will be able to update the files at any time just like a normal game. We only ask that your game be in a playable state at the time of submission on May 3rd. For example a blank "coming soon" itch project page wouldn't be okay but anything that can be experienced is okay.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Okay, so by May 3rd games need to be playable, and we’ll send the URLs in shortly after. No adding new games/projects to the bundle after that point, but if it took another 1-2 weeks to finish a May 3rd project that’s already been sent in, it’s cool to update the unfinished but playable game page with the finished game files? :)

Hi, this is Taylor. I'm an organizer on the bundle. I'm answering the question on my account since I don't want to lose track of this.

After May 3rd will be a week or two finalization process. People will get a secret url where they can post a link to their game. As organizers we will check each URL submitted and confirm that there are files that we can load and "experience". A good example of this is a game I love called Cuckhouse.

Cuckhouse as a Unity game is not playable. I cannot download it anywhere. Cuckhouse as a zine is something that I can experience right now. Cuckhouse as a zine so it is completely acceptable to submit to the bundle.

As long as the URL you link us has something I can experience then it's fine. Even unfinished games can be interesting and enjoyable to experience. What matters is that it contains something. As an organizer I don't really want to police devs too much except in the most egregious cases where I suspect fraud.

Update as much as you like. Make whatever you like. We will support you.

Okay, that makes a lot of sense, thank you so much Taylor!
