I’m a writer and designer, currently working on a Zombie dating simulator (edit: the game, like myself, is very queer) featuring Vampire characters with a lot of extensive worldbuilding and themes already written. I think this is a great opportunity Jam to write a little prequel story involving the existing characters, and their human companion, Edgar.

I’d love to team up with some artists, musicians, and other devs to make this possible in time for the Jam. Please do reach out if you’re interested in working with existing material. I write my stories in Ink, and I have integration script pre-written for Unity, but it’s fairly simple to port those into other game engines.

As a follow up to this in case anyone was interested in any more info, this follows Harley, the leader of the Aching Oaks coven of Hemlock Grove, in a world where Vampires, Zombies, and Ghosts are common knowledge to the whole of society. Aching Oaks is the “loser” cemetery in Hemlock Grove, and although Harley wants to call himself King, he and his bodyguard Terrence alone don’t inspire much fear in the local Vampire community. Harley plots to pair up with the vixen leader of the biggest coven in the city, but he’s intercepted by the psychic Andromeda and their clingy travel partner Lilac, who’s come to tell him that his plan won’t work unless he goes for the intimidating Basset and his controversial Three Spikes Clubhouse. Harley needs to check himself at the door and question why he’s really so nervous to court the cool as a cucumber rival leader if he’s really just in it for the power.
