Overall great but I could not find the start button untillI read the comments

Graphics are solid and combat is good for what it is. My only complaint would be the UI, like on the character select it took me longer than I would like to admit to find the "start" button all the way down at the bottom right of the screen, and a clearer indication of when you were in range to interact with the environment would have been nice

Totally captures one of my favourite Bullworth pastimes when i was a kid but also the spirit of ps1 arcade fighting games like the aforementioned Rival Schools! Your hard work totally paid off and I would really love to see you expand on this.

Thank you! :) I really hope Rockstar go back to Bully one day. If I did continue it I think I'd end up rewriting pretty much the whole game. Its got a bad case of the ol' spaghetti code at the moment. Thanks for taking the time to play!

So it's basically "Rival Schools" meets "Bully", featuring -as the name would suggest- nerds.  Amazing that it was put together in a week. It seems simplistic, gameplay-wise but it has good animations and pretty dope low-poly models with lovely textures and everything. The background looks great, too. Don't know if everything was hand made from scratch, but from the visuals, it looks very PS1.  You could fool someone with the screenshots any gameplay, that it's a lost PS1 game. Only thing that could need improvement here is the music, which - is good music but - doesn't really seem to fit.

You got it! Bully, The Warriors and Rival Schools were the three games I used as inspiration. I booked the week off work and even then it was still a struggle to get it finished in the end. There was more I wanted to do but was very burnt out come the deadline.

The walls, floor, door wood, and bin lining were all just textures I got from textures.com and scaled down to 256x256 but other than that it was made from scratch. All the characters are just edited versions of each other too so it might look like a lot but its not as much as it seems! the hardest parts was getting the gameplay working (mostly) bug free and the dozens of animations that I had to make.

I totally agree with the music, it was a last second decision as I kind of didn't want just silence. I got it from the Big Music 2 bundle on humble bundle.

I really appreciate you saying it could pass as a PS1 game though, thanks for playing! :)

I loved it! Bully doesn't get enough appreciation and you have definitely given it!  The models, the animations it's all fantastic! The only thing I could suggest making the start button a different color/different postion. I couldn't see it in the bottom right and be wondering for a few min how to start playing the game. Great work! Keep it up!

Thank you! I'm still holding out for a sequel... I know what you mean about the start button though, it was one of the last things I did and I was running out of time (and motivation haha) but I'm glad you found it in the end. Thanks again!

Thanks! Wasn't the theme optional?
