Any tools for composing 8-bit music?

Hi, everyone,

I'm a composer and music producer, but I don't have any experience with capturing the 8-bit sound. Are there any free or reasonable-cost virtual instruments sound banks out there? I'd love to hear if you have any advice or know of any resources.
