What was the origin story?
Storm the Castle was a project I started a couple years ago in an attempt to revive a classic flash game, "Storm the House". Overall I think this is a pretty accurate recreation. I wish I had more time to polish and balance and add a couple of QoL features but overall I am happy with it. Thanks for the jam!

This was interesting (ฅ`ω´ฅ) I never played the original but I can see why you wanted to do a remake of it, good job!

I loved this game back in the day so it's so cool to see this!

Overall the vibe is just so right, even the random models some how feel in place because it's an absurd game. You're defending a house for reasons!

Only thing I was really missing (besides more cool stuff) was a count down to the day ending, and maybe a transition to the shop so you wouldn't click on something and buy it on accident.

Hey Ericbomb, I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I was planning on having a day/night cycle implemented but unfortunately couldn't squeeze it in before the deadline. I plan on releasing an updated build of the game later on with features like the ones you mentioned. Thanks for playing!

I never played the original Storm the House but this definitely makes me interested in that genre of games! I liked what you layed down, I thought the difficulty progression was really well done, never felt too hard but definitely felt like it was getting hard. I would have appreciated a little more graphics and such to show my builders and gunmen however not a big deal. I enjoyed it, good job!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the difficulty progression as that was something I was really struggling to nail. A counter for the builders and gunmen as well as actual info about what they do was in the works, but unfortunately had to be cut to make the deadline. I plan on eventually updating the game and reposting it separately from the gamejam with these kinds of QoL features in mind. Thanks for playing!
