Wow there's a surprising about of systems you have figured out in this for a game jam submission!

Also I love the cute bobbing of your character when he waddles around, lol

Hello @jertlemiah,

Thanks for the kind words! We're thrilled you took time to notice the systems we’ve put in place—it’s been a fun challenge for the game jam!

This is so cute and satisfying! I was grateful for your notes about ways that the tutorial wasn't complete - definitely helped me to get going in the start. I struggled a little bit with the controls for the sculpting tool; I was using a trackpad not a mouse, and the scroll was SO fast that it was always hard to land on the right thing I needed to sculpt. I also found myself wishing I could hold multiple items at a time and also see them displayed; if there's a way to do that I couldn't quite figured it out. (Maybe an aspect of the backpack that I'm missing?) That aside, once I got the hang of it, I had a great time making so many little tools and items for customers! Nice work!

Hello Maggie,

We really appreciate your feedback, it mean a lot to us.

About the controls it's not enough clear for now but you can use Z/X to select a recipe instead of the mouse wheel (the whole game is playable using only the keyboard).

For the items handling system, we plan to get an overhaul of the existing system, because indeed the game lack ways to carry multiple items efficiently.

Thanks for playing and helping us craft something better! 🔨✨

About this game, it's an old project we brought back to life. It was inspired from ShopKeep2 which is (sadly) an old and forgotten dead game.

Looks familiar after working on my own project this past month! 😉

Some sound effects would take this to much greater heights, but time pressure I understand, of course! I also wanted more sawmills, so I could have one log being milled while I worked on shaping another, multiple pokers in the fire so to speak. All in all, you built a novel array of interactions and UI and I enjoyed playing blacksmith to this endless queue of adventurers. I just hope those wooden swords hold up out there! 💀

Hello @Lanyard,

Glad that you enjoyed our game and fulfilled your blacksmith duty!

We plan to go on with this game and revamp the item handling and transformation system to greater heights! So do not worry the sawmill will be way more proficient.

Thanks for helping us craft something better! 🔨✨

Take a look at my game too. It might give you a chuckle. 😊

I already saw what should give me a chuckle 🐒, sadly I didn't had time to try your game yet. I hope I'll be able to do it before the vote ends!
