Hey there, I finished your game and this was certainly different to the usual style of tower defence I play.  I can begin by saying your UI system (the main menu and in-game buttons) while basic buttons all appeared to work well, it was a little confusing and took me a few minutes to figure out how to play but once I got the idea I was able to get the ball rolling.  I was quite pleased with the credit system you had in place too as this limits what the players can do and provides a challenge.

Graphics in the game are basic but functional and the robots worked well, your choice of music and sound effects appeared to fit the game well.  A 3D birds eye view keeping track of the map was a little hard to keep up with but again given a little time I got use to it.

Your documentation shows some good detail on how you built the game but I would recommend linking some of your description with screenshots of stages of construction within the game itself, it helps to identify what parts you refer too when building your game.

    Summary

I would say the game itself, it is very function and fun to play.  If more time is spent on the 3D aspect for a future version released this would be a heavy tower defence game to play.  There is certainly room for improvement but then again there always will be in game development.  As a YouTuber and game developer myself we consider it a pleasure to try your games and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to try your game.

    Thank you.

  • Documentation

The documentation is relatively lightweight, but straight to the point, with some useful technical concepts discussed (and detailed with images). The design discussion is relatively weak, with other areas also suffering from lack of depth.

    Game

The game concept is superb. The depth of options is really good, and I generally like the idea overall. I was, however, incredibly frustrated by the unintuitive, difficult-to-grasp (let alone use) control system. The system that you see in game feels like it should have been done for a controller. The menu interaction suffers from the fact that it is local multiplayer.

Great concept which could definitely be taken further.

  • Unfortunately the game didn't work for me, it booted and got to the title screen but all buttons were unresponsive, however the bg music was playing.
