  • Fighting Mechanic is a bit weak and frustrating.  Doesn't feel quite so responsive (delays with actions happening) and repitive AI.  Focus on core fight mechanic to improve.  Good points are sfx and game-flow/loop.

I was able to finished your game, this was certainly fun to play and different to figure out.  The mechanics of basically punching and head-butting works well.  The environment is simple but fits the gameplay and the AI functions of the other player’s works well.  The main menu system although basic is also functional including the quit button.  Your choice of music and sounds are very fitting for a game focused on beating the others into the water, the music also helps to break the ambient silence.

There were some strange issues I encountered which hindered my gameplay a little, sometimes when players are flying across the screens I would lose camera sight of my player for a few seconds, I had to wait until the camera focused on me again before I could resume.  When falling off the edge of the bridge my player was able to ‘grab’ the end and stay there.  I could not move or do anything else so I just hanged around for a bit before I finally fell into the water.

Your documentation is detailed showing not just the stages of construction but also the screenshots and drawings to show how you built it which is good practice.

    Summary

I thought this game was well constructed and had very entertaining elements to it.  There is certainly room for improvement but then again there always will be in game development.  As a YouTuber and game developer myself we consider it a pleasure to try your games and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to try your game.

    Thank you.
