  • I enjoyed this game, I spent a solid 30 minutes on it.
  • - The title screen could have to game name. - The game exit after game over. - The game CPU cost is too high for its simplicity, maybe it could be optimized? - I think the controls mapping of the jump action in key E is not a good choice when playing in the game pad. - The character seems too small relative to the obstacles. - I noticed some collisions problems. - The jump could actually move the character up. - It could have animations when colliding with objects. - Collision sometimes feels off.

Jam Judge

Bonus points for the background art with the sunset and falling snowflakes! Overall I think the game could have been more polished, but it's a good concept for the sliding theme!

Jam Judge

This is a neat game, well done. I did have the bounding box issues talked about - a lot of that comes from the perspective I guess. I think this is easy to overcome by a few tweaks and assigning lanes (then calculate the player lane and if something is in a different a different lane it can't hit the player). Loved the effects.

What a lovely game and very well-placed art! I second some of Mux's feedback on jump height, for instance. Another thing that would help a lot is to have lane marks in the ground so the player can know if the snowball is going to hit him or not. Also, it would be cool to have some music to match this beautiful scenario.

Beautiful sunset vibe! As some have said it feels like a piece of art. (This is what skiing feels like hehe)

Some improvement suggestions:

Main small improvement suggestion for playability: I would reduce the bounding boxes a bit. For example in the case of the the snowballs coming towards you, the bounding box could be on the bottom of the ball only (on the grey area). Same with the skier bounding box could be on the skies only -> I think this is already the case). Would make it a bit more intuitive for a player to understand when there might be a collision

Some other improvement suggestions:
- Small effects: when jumping maybe move the skier up 1/2px for a second to make it go over the wood. I feel like the satisfaction of landing a jump properly would be cool. Would also help with assessing the timing of jumps better
- This is a broader remark, but would be cool to use more of the screen area for play. Even though I love the art in the background, maybe increasing the playable area a bit could be cool.

Random idea: Love the parallax effect with the clouds. Could also have a sun that goes down slowly, rendering the slope less visible over time? Or maybe making it more icey/slippery
