Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • One thing that I noticed is that if you try to use the shuriken when you have none, it still plays the sound effect.
  • - Some boxes are too fast, making difficult to act. - The character could have some sprite to understand the direction it is facing. - The game could have a background music. - The game could have title screen with the game name and artwork. - The texts could and numbers could use different colors. - The press C to restart is not needed, since people could restart the RIVES emulator. - Some character actions has no sounds. - The game difficulty could be more balanced to increase more gradually.
  • Fun concept, I think it could use some graphics for attacks; I found it kind of hard to know when I was attacking.

Jam Judge

I may become scare of any moving boxes after playing this game too much, they might be haunting me! Interesting game concept!

I might have bad dreams about red boxes attacking me :) Looks like it will become a very cool game.

Hey Nida, nice participation once again! This game has a cool concept and is something we don't have on RIVES. As for feedback, I think it would greatly benefit from some cool sprites. Maybe in a future version of it, we can have those sprites :)

Amazing! Very super strong base game!

I think the main thing I'm missing are the sprites. Will give it a recognizable space vibe, and will also help with the gameplay itself. (e.g. : It's hard to say until I shoot which direction my spaceship is positioned towards, so makes things more challenging)

Also maybe could let the spaceship glide a bit more (cause it's in space). A bit like air hockey

I'd also maybe start a bit slower (I die too fast haha), to give the player some time to learn/adjust. But this might be an issue just for me lmao

I'm pumped to try the version with sprites, i'm sure that will elevate it to another level since the base game is already very fun
