It has to be from a soundtrack, so if you mean an actual music album, probably not (I'd imagine some of the licensing stuff would get more complicated if we could do that but idk). I also assume that, like in the pastime jams, covers have to be of songs that were officially released (someone else can correct me if I'm wrong), but other than that, your choices are pretty flexible! I would consider that as a remix/cover as it doesn't incorporate melodies/extract from the other game, but ultimately it's also your choice.

I don’t think the results are public, I think the ranking thing was just meant to refer to which songs will be on the compilation album. I’m still new but in the last jam (where the results/ratings were public), the rankings showed up on the same day the jam ended, which didn’t happen here, so I’m assuming the rankings don’t apply to anything else in this jam.
