I was making enemy AI and instead of it walking forward and backwards, it does a moonwalk move, now I'm debating if I should fix it or just leave as is

If you're in Pico-8, there's a flag for flipping sprites....

Keep it! I built an entire game around a "broken" AI. I never did figure out how it worked and the code is long lost.
