I liked the game! I think it's pretty solid on its mechanics and visuals and sound are nice. I miss some more innovative or risky mechanics and I find the jam theme is weakly applied but it's still a great jam game. Congrats!
The game is quite good and the graphics are very nice. The turn-based battle system works well, although I didn't really understand the order in which the characters hit.
Also, I don't know if it's because I'm a bit dumb and I missed something, but I couldn't get past the second battle without all my characters being defeated.
Thanks for giving it a try and for the feedback! The energy bar (yellow) was supposed to indicate who went next, but we realized later that most of them are set to the same speed, so it's hard to predict. Something we'll definitely fix.
We set out with the aim of making it difficult, but lacked time to properly balance it, so I doubt anyone will make it through without having exceptional luck. I think the furthest anyone has gotten is 5 battles, and that's after a few playthroughs.
