LordLaxy is a phenomenal young entrepenour with a great mind that's filled with creativity that he spills onto these games with the unique pixel-art approach he takes with his art and games. The style of this game has a lot of tranquility, like the ocean itself. However the story adds a sense of loneliness and darkness that is encapsulated in the darker color palette that this game possesses. The characters are as charming as always (Check out LordLaxy's game library) and they possess an originality that is classic yet fresh and innovative at the same time. The clean lines of the pixel art and the animations give personality to the entire experience.
The music deserves it's own paragraph. In LordLaxy's games you'll find pieces that soothe your brain and wraps it with unique sounds and a nice audible area that I could describe with a purplish color in my head.
I love the look of this one!! the style is supremely unique and effective. I felt like I could tell what everything was and it all felt cohesive in the story and world. Your world building is also really interesting. It kind of reminded me of The Neverending Story! Really nostalgic and with a tragic undertone to it. I made a bit of a mistake and accidentally redownloaded the game folder so I lost my save!! I was a good chunk into it. So I have NOT finished it completely yet, but I will circle back once the lost-save-file wound feels less painful. Just a silly mistake on my part.
I think the only big negative I found was just the grammar and spelling issues. I really wish that RM had an internal spellcheck system, this is something that really irks me. But with so much story telling and text in this game I worry you're doing yourself a disservice not maybe getting someone to beta read it or spell check it. I loved your world building and character writing, it was just plain distracting that there were so many mix ups of the different "there"'s, for example.
Always always love and appreciate original art!! And especially original concepts and story ideas. I hope you do more of these jams in the future!
