The Emerald World seems to be a huge universe and we're into it without any context.

We have to move the character to know something. It's a pity !

But the design of the characters are truly cute, the musics are pleasant, and the missions are almost justified.

But the battles aren't so interesting. We have elements, but It doesn't seem to be important. It will be better if ennemies are weaker or stronger against an element. It will give some dynamism to a battle, and also some strategical meaning. (Wooow my engliiiiish)

But it was a good experience.

PS : One thing : When one of the character asks if we want to go back or go further...

Why  "Yes, No" as answer ?

Thank you so much for your critique.  I'm very new at this, and one of the things I learned from this experience is to look at the big picture before I get too involved. Three days goes by very quickly!

To answer your question, that was a mistake.  I'm so sorry that was confusing.  I was using the flat code for the event and forgot to change the choice names.  Thank you for pointing that out.

I'm working on fleshing out the story better, and I'm really happy about your combat critique!  This will help so much!

I am going to go back and improve the game later, so I thank you very much for your valuable feedback.

That was fun! I really love hand-drawn characters and stuff like that, their designs were really cool. I enjoyed the different worlds to explore and the story was cool as well. The music was really good and fit the areas too.

Just one critique, but I felt like the enemy encounters could've been a little more diverse. The characters have such unique elements and powers, but most of the enemies can be defeated just by using the main magic attacks you have at level one. Perhaps it would've been more interesting if there were enemies with extra atk so you had to use the weakening spell, or enemies that shot poison so you had to use the roots attack. (or maybe there were enemies that shot poison, but they all died before they could attack for me)

Overall it was a fun game, and I enjoyed it! I really like this world and I hope you keep expanding it!

Thank you so much for you kind words!  Enemy composition kind of fell off my radar towards the end when I realized I haven't coded the story events yet...  Still, I'm new to this, so I glad to have received this critique.  I have a few more games and stories planned for this universe (also I plan to improve on this one), so I hope you'll stick around to see the rest.
