I found this game quite fun, but being unable to see the monsters while inside the fire was annoying as I died very shortly after leaving the safe area.
On my second try, I found the best strategy was to get really scared, corral all the monsters to one side, then harvest the other half of the map. This worked until the giant crab monster came by and killed me.

I was having second thoughts about that mechanic, actually. I died a couple of times near the bonfire without seeing what killed me while playtesting after submitting the game and I found it also annoying. Also, that's a good strategy, but ferris can be a hard boss if it detects you.

I really liked the theme of this game :)
Going out from the safe zone gave me thrills thinking about the monsters I had to dodge ^^
I really liked to have arrow keys to play the game as well as I'm an AZERTY player :/
Nevertheless it's a really good poc for a gamejam well done :)

Also yes, key binding options would be one of the first features for the post-jam version.
